Build Over Sewer / Build Over Storm Water Planning a construction project? Specific regulations apply, when building near or over sewer and/or storm water mains. One particular requirement is that you supply a ‘Build Over Infrastructure CCTV Survey’. Contact the relevant local authority to ensure you meet all of their specifications.
‘Build Over Infrastructure’ means your proposed construction project will be built close to existing storm water and /or sewerage mains. Thus, the term ‘Build Over Sewer’ ‘Build Over Storm Water’.
Final building approval is granted, when regulations are met. Construction projects may include; but are not limited to, new builds, renovations, extensions, retaining walls and shade shelters.

Provision of Build Over Infrastructure CCTV Survey and associated condition report for the affected asset, is a dRAINS kLEEN specialty.
Each Build Over Infrastructure CCTV survey is completed by a WSA accredited operator; in accordance with the SEQ Water Supply / Sewerage Design and Construction Code.
Using (robotic) tracked cameras with 360deg rotatable head & zoom capabilities. We produce clear footage showing the internal structure of the pipes, as well as comprehensive reports including photos. Defects are coded accurately in WinCan, before generating a report suitable for submission, evaluation and approval.
Sewage and storm water networks are each owned by different organisations. Storm water is a Council asset, Sewage and Water are owned by your local Utility. Therefore, you must seek approval from the appropriate party, before construction starts.
Being able to understand the location of the manholes, allows us to provide accurate pricing. Referencing the correct asset numbers from the plan is also a requirement for correct reporting.
